A wonderful week spent at Red Roof Lodge

My sister and son enjoying an afternoon at the Leavenworth Golf Club-a lovely, inexpensive public golf course with a great little resturant.
I just returned from a week at Red Roof Lodge-it was fabulous.  The weather was hot, many friends stopped by to spend a few nights, we white water rafted, golfed, ate great dinners under the stars and spent endless hours just hanging out by the pool.

Ski Stevens Pass only 45 minutes from Red Roof Lodge and Leavenworth WA

We had a blast skiing in the 9 inches of fresh snow at Stevens Pass over the New Year Holiday!  After a day of skiing we returned to the lodge to soak under the stars in the hot tub and enjoy a much earned gourmet meal.  The evening was wrapped up with a game of Risk and a movie.  A lovely way to end the year!

Sledding fun has begun in Leavenworth WA

Last weekend Red Roof Lodge had a last minute cancellation and we jumped on the chance to spend the weekend playing in the snow with friends.  The best part was sledding.  A short walk from the lodge is a fire road that is perfect for sledding; a 1/4 mile run to the bottom.  You can walk back up for some great excercise or talk someone into driving you back up to the top via the main road.  At night we put on our headlamps and go for a night run.  It is so much simple fun!
